A downloadable Mock-Up
This is merely a mock-up for a game I'd love to make one day! They say to make what you would want to see; I would love a weird little pet sim where you raise hedgehogs, all while something strange is hidden under mini games, trivia, and broad customization options that involve taking care of your little guy. I've been passionate about and owning pet hedgehogs for the past 8 years of my life, and I'm quite fond of pet sims ranging from Nintendogs to Wobbledogs. This project started off life as an idea board I quickly drew together so I wouldn't lose any of my thoughts:
This jam allowed me to not let this concept live and die on a single page, something I have done with plenty of game ideas in the past. While I don't have any experience with coding or game dev (outside of a science fair project made in Scratch when I was 13), I love video games a lot, and would love to be involved with their creation in the future. Special thanks to all my friends, mutuals, and other jammers who lent their encouragement and enthusiasm to my idea!

The compressed file includes the high quality, uncompressed renders for my project. Downloading isn't necessary, unless you wanna gawk at every pixel and minute blemish without itch.io's 3MB image limit to stop you!

I'm... especially intrigued about Cilantro though... 👀 I think Cilantro has seen things no hedgehog is supposed to see LOL ðŸ˜
Thank you! Cilantro isn't too terribly special tho, as all hedgies seem to have connections to, well, whatever that is... It's just a part of their life lmao. It may be ominous, but my idea is that it allows you to unlock some cool features in the game. I'm a big fan of unexplained elements in games!
